I was wondering if anyone knows about tropical or exotic birds being sighted in Toronto and Ontario, especially flamingoes.

I truly hope you'll forgive my following jokey answer to your serious question!
A major trip down memory lane ... for my uncle's 50th birthday, my aunt arranged 50 pink (plastic) flamingos on the front lawn.
So ... one day, there were 50 pink flamingos on a lawn in Etobicoke.
Sorry, couldn't resist!
Re: "real" flamingos ... perhaps escapees from Toronto Zoo???

There were reports of a roadrunner in Bruce county (particularly near Owen Sound) last spring / summer

Some years ago, we had a White-faced Whistling Duck land on the ice beside a patch of open water on our pond here in Whitchurch-Stouffville. I observed it through my Zeiss 10X40's for about 1/2 an hour (wish I'd taken a pic). I guess it's GPS was kinda screwed up.

Sometimes if southern ontario gets the tail end of a hurricane we can get the odd tropical species appearing. Gannets; frigrate etc.

There have been a couple of Australian black swans in southern ontario such as at high park.
