Great shot.  I really like it sitting in the pine with the bright blue sky behind.

Yes your right, owl population is dropping fast over on owl woods. On Saturday and Sundaya this past weekend only found 1 long eared ( normally about a dozen); 3 Sawwhet ( normally 8), & 1 boreal (was up to 3). The boreal is really well hidden over there.
