Title: Scarborough Bluffs - Redhead ducks
Post by: Kin Lau on February 02, 2009, 03:50:54 PM
These Redhead's were coming very close at the Marina in the Scarborough Bluffs.

I've never gotten them this close.. they're usually more like 100ft away.

This first one is uncropped

Cropped about 70% but nicer light.

Wow, at 300mm no less. Are lower angles possible? With the warmer weather coming next week I wonder if the ice will stay.

I had some so close that I had to zoom out, but I had a 2x TC on the 300mm :) (the TC doesn't report).

Lower angles would be hard w/o chest-waders. I was lying down on the pier already.

Thanks for all the kind comments.

Oh, gotcha. 300mm without a TC would be REALLY close!
