There was alot of ice on the woods floor, it was asleep but someone had broken through the surface ice and it popped awake just before we were leaving the area.

Great shot, tough to get these guys in the open.  Looks like you had to remove some red eye from your flash though and unfortunately the eyes lose their 'alive' feel when there are no reflections in them.  

Did you get any without a flash?
