Title: Iceland gulls at Ashbridges Park, Feb 16 (pic)
Post by: Andreas Jonsson on February 16, 2009, 10:27:53 PM
I was at Ashbridges Park this morning to look for the Western Grebe recently reported (http://outdoorontario.net/birds/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=2545). I didn't manage to spot it and I left before it was later rediscovered (http://www.virtualbirder.com/bmail/ontbirds/200902/16/index.html#4). However, I did count up to 9 Iceland gulls, three in adult and 6 in sub-adult plumage. Most of them were  on the west side of the park, at the base,  on  several floating bridges. Some photos below.

Nice finds, I'm going to have to head out there to see if I can see them too!
