I had put my camera away for the day/week cause nothing is happening,
with the exeption of the doves eating my feed meant for other birds.............
Stepped outside at 8:00 pm and Guess what lands in my front yard...
Coopers hawk 15 feet away.. It stops for a second. I hope I can get to the Camera... Nope. Open the Door and he/she is gone.................
It had a dove its talons........I am really steamin cause i missed him/her.........
I am Sure it was a Coopers, had the dark Crest, Accipiter for Sure.............The Grackles that were protecting the area must have moved on cause I don't
see them around much lately.. Exciting but............ argh ................

Last weekend while visiting the drainage ponds(in the evening) behind my house
I spotted a whole bunch of Cedar Waxwings flying around in and amongst the Swallows.
There are hoards of doves, swallows everywhere. killdeer are quite prominent aswell. I even spotted a Tern. Not sure why he was there maybee just passing
thru. The area is really starting to grow in, The grasses are nearly 3 feet tall and the pond is quite full (water)...

You already know the hawk story. Spotted a Juvenile Blue Jay today(with its parents) on the path behind my house. I put another feeder out filled with black oil
seeds on Monday and the next day "Chickadee's" showed up...
