Title: Help with ID's & more
Post by: Murray on February 23, 2009, 12:11:44 AM
I took these pictures on the weekend, the first two I think are pine siskens with goldfinches.

The third is a poor bird (not sure, with a terrible growth on its eye). Maybe somebody knows what this is.

  Thanks,

  Murray

Looks like a Junco to me as well, perhaps with Avian Pox???   :?  Yikes.

The poor Sweetie.

Perhaps you could inform a local wildlife centre about this one?

Hey!!

Nasty thing conjuctivitis.. I had a bird around last year with it..  I took all feeders down and gave'm a thorough cleaning.

haven't seen anything yet this year.. Feeders are empty today, gonna takem down  tomorrow and givem a cleaning..

I expect things are gonna get busy in about a week or two.

Thanks everyone for the information. I took the picture at the feeders at Ojibway park in Windsor.

They have a nature center, so i emailed them about the Junco & included the picture.

Hopefully they will take any necessary precautions that need to be taken.
