Title: Lasalle Park and Lift Bridge
Post by: cabz on February 27, 2009, 06:59:19 AM
Went with a friend to the RBG in Hamilton.  Never been.  Great place, will have to go back in the summer, several times.

Went to Lasalle Park and  saw an Eagle out on the ice and discovered an American Wigeon (sp?) amongst the Mallards and Swans.

At the lift bridge were the Pergrines, a pair of Gadwall, and White-surf Scoter amongst the Mergansers and Oldsquaw.  I prefer the Longtail duck's old name.  I expected to show my friend all the ducks that have been around there over the winter, but guess with the more open water, they have moved off.

Good birding.
