Title: need help to indentify

Good day all,
Here in St. Catharines, I just saw a beautiful finch, which I cannot find an I.D. for. It is all black except for the belly whichis all white, as well as the beak being white.  Certainly a finch beak. I do have a photo which I will send in later today.

Hello again,
Well the Junco that came by this morning, brought his family by this afternoon. The three of them dined on sunflower seeds and corn kernels, and stayed for about 10 minutes.
This new hobby of birding is really enjoyable, what an awesome God we have who created all these creatures! And all of you out there who have contributed to this website are all so awesome. Thanks very much.

It cracks me up how, being in different areas, birds which make my holy grail list are common for folks in other areas...and birds that others get excited about (eg. juncos) are hardly worth noting they are so common at my feeders...

Hey!!

Axeman.. This year has been very different from last year.. We  have at least one resident Am robin again. Junco's have been pretty scarce unlike last year.

There was a two week spell of White winged Crossbills.(spotted 4 this past Saturday). Other than the American Goldfiches it has been pretty quiet..

BTW.. Their pretty noisy! It  sounded like the budgy section at  a pet store on Saturday and Sunday, Tons of them.. One lonely Redpoll, I am concerned

about this little guy..  Siskins spotted only once. The Snowy owl (in Mississauga) was a treat thou..

p.s.  many American Crows around rural Milton on Saturday found a field full 30 plus and many overhead.

Hey Napper, I think I'm hoarding all the Red Polls and Siskins up here in Georgetown. We've had a steady flock of 30+ Red Polls for the last several weeks and I think their numbers are increasing everyday. And Siskins 20+ who have been here all winter. I do envy your Snowy Owl though.

Yep........dozens upon dozens of Redpolls and Siskens here......emptying 3 tubes per day  :shock:  (Glen Williams area)

Still lots of Juncos too......large group of Tree sparrows earlier in the season, but have been gone for a while.

Juncos are usually daily visitors to our backyard but this year we've seen them only on a few days. Not sure why the difference.
