Title: Great Horned Owl and American Kestrel Leslie Spit Saturday
Post by: adonbirder on March 01, 2009, 04:54:00 PM
Saw the Great horned owl and usual pair of kestrels on the spit saturday but this time the Great horned sat still and let me get around with the light behind me. Went very slow and patient and then it flew right over my head afterwards while i was sitting there, not away like when spooked, so cool. Also the pair of kestrels were feeding and while walkign the trail walked right under the kestrel feeding, so neat but graphic photo of nature at work

Amazing pics both of them, I always wondered how the little Kestrel manages to find anything...

Nice shots.  Neat to see the big feathered feet on the owl.
