Early yesterday,I saw a Common Loon on the lake, swimming, diving often for fish, between Kingston Rd and Birchmount area and Ashbridges Bay. Very likely the same bird, they often fly in circles around an area. Must be why they call them Loons...Also saw a pair of Common Mergansers,Great Crested Flycatcher(seemed like a young one),a pair of Belted Kingfishers,Common and Caspian Terns,Great Blue Heron and Black-crowned Night Herons and tons of squawking baby birds of all sorts, begging parents for food.
