Every spring and fall, I get a trickle of migrant waterfowl coming through Elgin Pond in Uxbridge, and now that the ice is starting to melt, they are beginning to stop by. I had 3 male 2 female Hooded Mergansers 2 days ago, and today I had 1 female Ring-necked Duck and an immature male Common Goldeneye.

I had a pair of Wood Ducks and a pair of Black Ducks among the usual Canada Geese and Mallards this morning. Man, those male Wood Ducks look nice!
