Title: Two Birds from Ecuador
Post by: cabz on March 15, 2009, 10:46:15 AM
First Bird - Thrush - looks like American Robin in size and shape, bird is dark charcoal gray, yellow legs, orange, pinky, yellowy bill

Second Bird - I think a type of Tanager (there is alot of tanagers in SA) - medium blue head, body either dark blue or black, looks like dark blue/black around eye, wings or part of wings light yellowy green

I could not find them in my birdbook.  Have seen bird #2 in pictures on net, but no name

These birds were seen East of Banos, southeast of Quito, in the jungle.

Any help is appreciated.  Thank you.

Good birding
