The two northern shrikes are still hanging around.
eastern bluebird.
green-winged teals.
mallards.
american black duck.
american wigeon.
gadwalls.
Possible opening notes from a male baltimore oriole, but the RWBBs would not let me catch a clean listen.

Is Scotch Block just off of 12th Side Road in Milton near the Railway tracks?
-
Hey
from 401 East or west North on hwy 25 turn East on 10th side rd . Turn North on 3rd line .
Scotch block is on either side of the narrow bridge.. All of the property around the ponds are private as far as I can tell..
I've never had any luck there... Although I spotted a Pileated woodpecker Just past the tracks about 2 weeks ago..
There are Blue Bird nest boxes on either side of the road near the reservoir..
Napper:))

I visited Scotch Block for the first time in the early afternoon of Friday, June 3, 2011. I observed:
2 Brown Thrashers several times over the course of 2 hours.
Warbling Vireos (countless)
Baltimore Orioles (countless)
Yellow Warblers (countless)
Eastern Kingbirds (at least 6)
Gray Catbirds (3)
Belted Kingfisher (1)
Also cowbirds, vultures and Song Sparrows.
Here's a photo of a Scotch Block Yellow Warbler:

Went down to the block on the 11th and noted a few others, American Redstart , Ceader waxwings, 6-8 Adult Canada Geese with roughly 25+ young. No luck with the Vireos tho, Eastern Bluebird just to the south of the lake, Bobolink to the north and all your usual suspects jays, cards, chic, peckers, etc etc. 2 BCN Herons.
