Title: 2 Hawks (grayish in colour) at St. John's Rehab entrance

Two hawks at St. John's Rehab last night    
Now, maybe someone here
can help me as
obviously I am a novice

I observed a pair of hawks
right near the
speed sign 20 mph at entrance
of St. John's

They were together at first
and had something the female
was eating

They appeared to me to be
mainly gray. What are these

Is it a Harrier Hawk?
They were handsome

Where exactly is "St John's Rehab"? An intersection would help greatly.

Kin:

I was looking in your photos and
it rather looked like the Peregrine
except I did not see all the white
on the chest. Could it have been
a pair of Peregrines?
Also, it resembled a Merlin
from the px I viewed
at a site on line. This bird
was not huge.   Definitely Grey, though
unfortunately, did not have
my binos at hand

OK>> it is 285 Cummer Avenue
between Yonge and Bayview
not far from Yonge

a lovely place really
they send some of the soldiers
there :(( O/T

it is also right beside
Sisters of St. John the Divine

not the first time I have
seen hawks in this area either
lots of rabbits and foxes there

I know that area. I would lean towards either a sharpie or coopers nesting nearby.

Hi Kin:

I see

well i went again last evening
and thinking it was too cold and rainy
said to myself

There will not be anything here
lo and behold
the hawk flew across to my side of the
path or road and settled for a minute.. only
in a tree
he then flew back

I saw the pair again
and it really was nice

there are about 3 rings or bands
on his tail

so what do you think it is?
