We took a short stroll at the Brickworks yesterday. Two competing kingfishers did a lot of aerial jousting - lots of fun to watch. One kingfisher also did some great fishing dives in the ponds. We also saw plenty of tree swallows, redwings, grackles, robins, a golden crowned kinglet, two redtails, a cormorant, two male mallards, and a goldfinch. Plenty of turtles too, but didn't bring that ID book along so no idea about the species.
