Post by: Napper on April 11, 2009, 10:01:43 PM
Hey!!

Visited with the parental units today in Port Colborne  for Easter lunch and then supper.. Was a nice day but the wind from the North made it a bit chilly.

On the way down this is what we saw

Just South of Milton On Tremain rd.. 5 Turkey Vultures.
At the Burlington skyway (inland waters facility) Huge numbers of DC Cormorants.

2 Barn Swallows Just East of Welland.

At Gravelly bay in Port Colborne a few Ring neck ducks, 4 Buffleheads, Ring bill gulls are everywhere,a Caspian Tern,  DC Cormorants plus a whole wack of  ducks near the breakwall I couldn't make out even with the bins. Nothing was spotted at Cement plant Rd, Centennial park or lakeshore Rd. East.

My parents still have Junco's at their feeders, I spotted a broken (white) eggshell near their feeder.
There are many Turkey vultures about down there plus robins Grackles, Redwing blackbirds and American Crows a few American Goldfinches.
