My fiancee walked to the Brickworks yesterday and saw a large, white bird fly towards the Brickworks. By the time she got there, she saw the bird take off. She took a quick picture (even though she thought it was a seagull).
When she got home, she enlarged the photo and - yes - it appeared to be a great egret.
I would assume that it won't be near the Brickworks on a crowded, warm weekend, but perhaps it lurks on the rocky parts of the Don River....
