Last night I saw a Trumpeter Swan on Elgin Pond in Uxbridge with the wing tags 126. Although swans have stopped over on the pond before, this is the first one I've seen there, and it was a great bird to add to my Elgin Pond list.

There was a great article in the Toronto Star a few weeks back on the comeback of the trumpeter swans. The article notes the importance of public sightings for scientific studies. If you see one, you could send them an email noting the when, the where and the tag number to:
