Title: Orange with Black Head
Post by: pforde on May 16, 2009, 10:29:05 AM
Barrie, Saturday morning in the rain at our feeder. Saw a yellowy orange coloured winged wonder with a black head. It didn't stay around long as the red wing blackbirds are in hyper-nasty spring territorial mood and chase away most all other birds pretty quickly.
But this could have been an oriole? Northern/Baltimore ?  Any ideas?   Paul

Could be an oriole or perhaps an Eastern Towhee, rusty orange sides, white belly with a black head.  We had the first one show up here yesterday.

My two cents.

Tom.
