The bird visited my Clarkson backyard bird feeder along with a few red winged Blackbirds . It foraged on scattered seeds in the grass under the feeder. I was hoping to get a repeat visit so I could post a better quality photo but this will have to do .
Also visiting are Rose Breasted Grosbeaks M&F, Hummers, Cardinals, Bluejays, White crowned and White throated sparrows . No Baltimore Orioles or Cedar Waxwings yet .

Jo-Anne ,
Thanks for the response .
While dining in the Fallsview casino buffet restaurant and with a window table overlooking the roadway leading down to the falls - a red fox Vixen ( not sure how to name these guys ) and her 4 youngsters about the size of domestic cats took a walk in  the long grass by the casino . Her den is on the scrub  brush hillside and while leading them back to the den, 1 of the youngsters wandered off - she had to come back to retrieve it when she realized 1 was missing . The sighting created a whole new tourist attraction for us diners . Too bad I didn't have my camera with me.
We also saw a Scarlet Tanager, Baltimore Oriole, some Warblers and a FEW Herring Gulls .
Casino luck was not too bad either .
regards,
Jim

That's a terrific backyard bird... or anywhere for that matter. Nice pic too.

Wow, what an awesome sighting re: Red Fox and babies (kits)!  :D  That would be truly thrilling to see!  Neat that she came back to retrieve the missing one.

Cool re: casino luck!
