looks to be the size of a American Gold Finch or smaller

Looks like it could be an american gold finch immature

sound is generally a two note  sweet sounding   pee-weeee repeated  or ki-wee

there  are a bunch up in the trees behind my house

I have been trying to get an image or even see one of these guys for about 5 days now.

It's a juvenile A. Goldfinch. I have goldfinches in my yard, hanging around the nyger feeder. They are quite the noisy lot.

Thanx for the reply, that was really quik..

I have been hearing these little guys for almost a week now. I couldn't find them or see them.  Now there are a bunch of them.

They are easily called and reply just like there noisy parents. Boy Have they been singing this past week.

I have not seen any Goldfinches at my Niger feeder lately. It is attracting Chickadees though and doves believe it or not.
