Hi everyone.
Went for a walk around Lake Wabukayne earlier this evening and saw the following:
Black-crowned Night-Heron x 1
Mallard (male) x 1
Cardinal (male) x 1
An oddly low number of birds for this lake, but ... I did notice a helicopter circling close to the lake and could smell a very strong smell of smoke in the air. Apparently there was a townhouse complex fire just around the corner from the lake.
Lake Wabukayne is located in the NE corner of Glen Erin/Windwood Dr. - trail behind the condo and school.
