Title: Houdini Beaver

Beavers are a common sight at Sam Smith Park, but I saw one do something completely unexpected last evening.  We were standing in front of the filtration plant watching a beaver with a large branch swimming toward shore.  As he approached, he dove under the rocks and disappeared.  There didn't appear to be anywhere for him to go, but there must be a hollow area down there, because we never saw him or the branch again.
