The link to Ontbirds (top of page) shows the postings for last Saturday and none since. I've experienced this problem before. Is it just some nasty trick on my computer or is anyone else unable to link to current Ontbird postings?

Well, the Ontbirds Archive (http://mailman.hwcn.org/pipermail/ontbirds/) is up to date.

BC ... my computer is showing that as well (Sat. May 23rd).
Had the same problem earlier this month too for about 1 1/2 weeks, kept showing the same date (May 7th?), then was ok for a few days (20th-23rd) and hasn't been showing any update since then.

Thank You for posting that link, it's now bookmarked.
What a bummer to see listed some of the birds that I've missed - eg. American White Pelican at Rattray Marsh on May 25th. :(

I gave up the link at the top a long time ago due to it's unreliability and only use the link GStuart posted.
You can always subscribe to Ontbirds, and get the emails directly. You also have the option of turning off emails as well via a web interface, this way, you can get the emails during peak migration and then turn it off when you're on vacation or whatever.

Joann ... I was checking it daily and it seemed fine up until about May 7th - then things turned weird.

Thanks for the feedback and the new link. I'm glad it's not just me. I have enough trouble managing simple things on the computer.
-
I've changed the link at the top of the page to point to the archives. I have yet to have a problem with that one.

Thanks Andy.
Now if we could only get people who post from their Blackberries to post legibly.... maybe get some linebreaks from too :)

Here's an alternative link over at Surfbirds.com: http://www.surfbirds.com/birdingmail/Group/Ontario_Birds (http://www.surfbirds.com/birdingmail/Group/Ontario_Birds).
