nice pictures Kin, do they tag all of these birds or just the ones in that area?

The birds are tagged as hatchlings from nests that are being watched or they have access to. I believe this one was born in Wasaga or Sauble Beach.

There's a few adults at those two nesting areas that don't have any tags.

I have been told It's a Michigan bird.  We should know from where exactly later this week.

As for colour banding. yes piping plovers breeding on the great lakes are colour banded if possible.


It has not been seen at darlington p.p. since friday.
