CORRECTION - BANDING TAKES PLACE ON FRIDAY JUNE 5th!!
Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but...
Public Peregrine banding at Building #1 of the Mississauga Executive Centre in Mississauga (http://www.peregrine-foundation.ca/w/2009/06/sightings/mec-banding-3-chicks-thursday-june-4th-at-10am-public-welcome/), hosted by the Canadian Peregrine Foundation.
3 little peregrines will be banded.
Can't make it? Watch the extraction on the webcam here (http://www.peregrine-foundation.ca/Web_Cams/Mississauga/index.htm).[/b]

Unfortunately, I'm unable to attend this event but will definitely check out the webcam tomorrow morning. Will let my mom know about this though - she lives close to Square One and could just walk over to see this.

Thanks.
I will watch the webcam Friday morning. I let my mom know about this last night and she's going to walk over to check it out.

Awesome, let me know how it goes!
I was at the Toronto Sheraton Banding - it was quite an experience. Seeing the little peregrines so close is amazing!

Wish I can go! Just want to ask, is there any similar over weekend? I cannot give short notice to my boss and say I want to have a day off in 2 days! :(
Anyway, Whoever going to go please take some pic (if it's allow) Thank you

Felt like sharing a story with you.
A few Summer's ago, I was visiting High Park and looking through my binoculars. Felt something step up onto my left foot, assumed it was a squirrel and looked down to quite a shock - an adult Peregrine Falcon sitting on my foot looking up at me!
We were looking at each other for 20 minutes and "communicating". :D
People walking by were asking various questions - for example:
1. Why is that bird sitting on your foot? (D'oh!)
2. Is that your pet bird? (Grrrrr! :x No)
3. What sort of bird is that? (Peregrine Falcon)
4. Are you aware there's a Peregrine Falcon sitting on your foot? (Yes).
Murphy's Law, I don't have a camera and no one walking by that day had a camera - almost unheard of at High Park!
Anyhow, this was truly one of the most thrilling birding experiences I've ever had!
