most evenings there is a night heron that stands on the rocks in the culvert in SS Park. The culvert is on the south east side of the park, where the pond flows into the lake.
I've been lucky and was able to get some great shots.
Still no young ones for the swan that is nesting in the pond, it feels like forever, I hope the eggs aren't duds.

the eggs hatched a few weeks ago! there are 6 cottonballs with feet :)
(as well as six canada goose goslings)
have you seen them yet?

I saw the 6 that hatched a few weeks back, they were out by the Marina. But there is one that is in the small pond at the north end, those haven't hatched yet.
Both swans were in the nest today, didn't know if that was a good sign or not.
Fingers crossed, soooon.
