Title: Mom Raccoon with 2 babies at Lake Aquitaine
Post by: Bird Brain on June 12, 2009, 02:17:30 PM
Hi everybody.  Just got home from a walk around Lake Aquitaine.

Between 1:15-1:30pm, saw a mom raccoon with 2 babies on top of a fence!  She then started to feed them and Baby #2 lost his/her grip and fell approximately 15 feet to water below.  Proceeded to swim to gate covering tunnel, climb up it back to top of fence with mom and other baby.  Afterwards, all 3 climbed up a nearby tree for a sleep.  Very cute!  :D  It was quite interesting watching the babies trying to work their way up all the branches.
