I had a nice birding walk there this afternoon. Bird boxes have been put up all over the preserve, and I saw a pair of bluebirds, a pair of house wrens and lots of tree swallows at their nests. I also saw orioles, an indigo bunting, a second pair of blue birds, and five species of sparrows: chipping, song, field, grasshopper and clay coloured. I also saw two monarchs flying around.
