Title: yellow warbler
Post by: Marnie on June 14, 2009, 10:51:25 AM
I guess I'll have to stop automatically writing off any small, bright yellow bird as "just a goldfinch." These little cuties have been trying to get my attention for days now, and I finally watched for a while and got this picture this morning. (I was at Beechwood wetland, along the Don north of Pottery Road.)

I also saw a kingfisher being chased by a robin (and saw one chased by a RWBB last week), a northern flicker, and a pair of cedar waxwings struggling to free a long piece of string at Todmorden Mills. A lovely morning to be outside and a few good bird sightings to boot!
