We visited the Guelph Arboretum on July 5. We checked out the Gosling Wildlife Gardens. Walking in, we saw a male Ruby-throated Hummingbird sitting in a dead tree, and a Phoebe sunning itself on a railing. In the garden area, we saw a male Indigo Bunting. There was a man-made stream in the gardens. It attracted many of the local birds including Cedar Waxwings. We also saw many frogs, a garter snake and lots of butterflies in this area. We wandered in some other parts of the arboretum. We saw Flickers, Great-crested Flycatcher, Song Sparrows, Eastern Kingbird and a pair of Red-tailed Hawks.
