Great shots!  Where were you?

Tom.

Thanks Tom, although they're very noisy because I over edited the snot out of them.

As for where I was, I believe it was the North side of Ravenshoe Rd. just West of Hwy 48.  There was a marshy area where I saw the bird flying and then noticed there was adequate shoulder space to pull over safely and watch it for a while.  Also seen at the marsh were 2 Great Blue Herons and I believe I saw some type of sandpiper along the shores, species unidentifiable.

I'm heading up to Lindsay tomorrow to go see the pair at Ken Reid Conservation Area, hopefully get some nice views of them in some decent lighting.

Attila - I saw an osprey and baby this afternoon at Canal Lake.  If you're interested in travelling, you take Hwy 48N past Bolsover; look for sign for Centennial Campgrounds; turn left and follow road which cuts through Canal Lake.  There is water on both sides of the road and there are a couple of osprey nests.
