Your photos are awesome.  I was in the Dominican Republic last April and saw some of these birds and didn't know what they were.  Thanks to you I now know that a "Clank Clank Bird" is a Caribbean Grackle!  That's what they called it down there.  Love the birds on the cacti, too.

The grackle in the Dominican would have been the Greater Antillean Grackle as opposed to the Carib Grackle.

Great pictures!  Makes me want to go to the Caribbean for a vacation!  Shoot, I'll take anywhere at this moment!!
