I *had* to try to show up Colin :)
this dude (the bird, not Colin) was lurking around the back pond. made things tricky to shoot because of where he was standing and the thick, high grass/reeds growing along the pond.
these were some of my better shots. cannot WAIT to get my real lens back in 4 weeks!

not as great as Colin's, but the fun part is stumbling upon one of these and watching it slowly wade and feed on the fish.

Nice pics, this is a different one than the one I posted...this is the older one you can tell buy the more developed neck line, I saw 2 of them the day I took my pics and I captured some later in the afternoon pics of a GBH in the middle pond and when examining them in detail there was a definite difference this is the more mature one for sure...Good for you though Yogi...
