Title: Flycatcher
Post by: Canoncan on August 27, 2006, 03:14:00 PM
Unfortunately I did not hear this Flycatcher sing. They are hard to distinguish for me. Taken yesterday at Presquile. It was not sitting high on a branh. It was Mid tree off the Owen Point trail. It was the size of a swamp sparrow.

Wow 77 views and no one can take a stab at it?

Was this your only pic?  Were there any wingbars?

OK, I'll take a stab - immature Least Flycatcher.

Happy to be contradicted,

David

I was down at the lake in Port Hope yesterday and took this shot, it looks very similar and I thought it was a magnolia warbler. I am definitely not an expert in this field so I would like the name if I am wrong. The view I have is a side view so it may help.
Thanks, Art.

Thanks guys. I know it was not a Warbler, but alas without a back view or hearing a call. It shall remain the Nameless Flycatcher who could be a juvenile Least.
