Hi,
I'm new to birding...in fact just getting started ;-)
A couple of years ago, we noticed a few yellow/black birds in the tree outside the window of our kitchen. I have the following shots of them and have been trying to id what birds they are. My first thought was warbler(but I couldn't find one with the yellow stripe on the head), and second though maybe finch. One has a stripe on the head and one doesn't...
Thanks for your help!

Your little birds are Golden-crowned Kinglets. The adults have the stripe on their head. The juvenile doesn't. They glean insects from trees and branches. They are very active little birds. Hope this helps. Welcome to the birding community!
