Post by: cairnstone on August 08, 2009, 01:20:04 PM
I teed off at 7:30 am this morning and the place was alive with birds.

3 Great-crested Flycatchers

4 American Bitterns

Countless Kingbirds.

1 Osprey

4 Yellow Warblers.

2 Common Terns.

Countless Chipping Sparrows.

1 Northern Flicker.

1 Belted Kingfisher.

Along with the many Turkey Vultures I also saw a very large raptor perch on a nearby hydro tower (could have been an Osprey).

That is amazing - it is  a wonder you kept your eyes on the golf game at all.
