Have been trying some raptor portrait shots recently. Here is an immature female RTH.

Really nice pose on that bird - sure does show its character around the beak and eyes.

If I may?

a)  A tad on the dark side, possibly?

b)  Portraits are usually shot vertically, or so I was lead to believe?

Just food for thought, hope you don't mind??

Looks good to me.  I don't think it needs to be vertical.
