I always forget the official name of the area, but there's a water reservoir/pond on Beechwood Ave on the Don Trail.
from 5 until 6:30, a great blue heron put on a nice show. pretty sure its the same heron i usually photograph in the area.
it was hanging out on a dead tree in the back side of the pond and was preening itself. we watched it get spooked by a red winged blackbird and scream at it and pretend to look tough.
we probably have some cool pictures of it.
something strange/gross/interesting was that i had never seen a heron take a poop before. before it flew away, it let out its lunch and it added to the shock and entertainment of the day.
so look for pictures on the photo page within the next few days
