Title: Holland Landing Lagoons Update
Post by: worth on August 16, 2009, 11:14:13 AM
I visited the Holland Landing S. L. this morning and just to let people know the water levels were high leaving very little shorebird habitat. The only shorebirds I saw were 2 Spotted Sandpipers and 3 or 4 L. Yellowlegs. There were lots of ducks, mostly Mallards, Blue-winged & Green-winged Teal & Wood Ducks. There were ~75 Bonaparte's Gulls which included 5 or 6 juveniles.
You can reach the Lagoons by going north on Yonge St through Holland Landing and turning east on Cedar St and go to the end.
