Aarrgghhh - so close. mink with a fish, it ran past my foot within a couple of inches (Humber Bay). Great watching several of them playing on logs and on the path.
Later on this pretty fellow made up for some of the loss.

He was peeking over the rocks. I got a crappy picture from the seat, so I stood on it (the seat, not the groundhog), got a much better shot, then I crept closer behind a tree and got this one.

Is it rare to see the mink? I've seen at least one other comment on the board about sightings.
-
I thought it was rare as I had never heard of others seeing them. Now I am involved on this board, it seems that they are not that rare after all.

I saw one this morning! That's the third I've seen near the Don River. I've also seen one beside Georgian Bay north of Owen Sound.

It will be my new thing to look out for!
