I have a few unidentifieds from a recent trip to Olympic National Park in Washington State. I know this is primarily an Ontario forum but I don't think these are particularily hard birds so I thought I'd give it a try. Here they are with my guesses.
1. I'm fairly sure this one is a Least sandpiper based on the yellow legs. It was quite small.

2. Several of these were foraging alongside the previous bird, which was smaller than this one. I'm guessing Western sandpiper.

3. I assume a female something or other, but I have no idea what. Also seen on the beach. A yellow tinge, two coloured beak, and notched tail stood out.

4. This grouse was seen in a mountain meadow at about 1600m. She was standing lookout while her babies foraged in the grass. I'm pretty sure it's a Sooty grouse but I didn't see much of a grey band on the tip of the tail, which my book indicated. Maybe a Ruffed grouse.
