Post by: mr.sharp-photo on August 30, 2009, 10:57:10 AM
Saw one white egret and one great blue heron fishing.
Lots of ducks and mallards.
Saw one tagged trumpeter swan and two mute swans in Grendier Pond. Also, a few male eclipsed wood ducks were hanging out.

When leaving at 7:30ish, we also saw a lot of common nighthawks soaring near the Coborne Lodge exit. very neat

If the Egret isn't at home in HPk then try the storm water pond east of Humber R. adjacent to the bike/pedestrian bridge. Had Egret, GBH, 2 BCNHerons, 2 Solitary Spprs.

if that's the pond on the Queensway at Colborne Lodge, then that's where we saw it.
