Title: Tiny Township
Post by: Napper on September 04, 2009, 01:33:02 PM
Hey folks!!

We are visiting Tiny Township again.. Weather is great..

Yesterday there was a Merlin hanging around, a bunch of crows scared it off. It must not be around today
cause there are chickadee dee dee's, at my feeder as well as a single Red Breasted Nuthatch. Our Hairy woodpecker friends
visit a number of times throughout the day and are surprisingly bold.

A Pileated Woodpecker was in a tree next door yesterday.. almost sounded like a Turkey Klucking.
I went for the camera and it was gone.. as ususal

A little edit here..  I tried hand feeding again today..  had one chickadee and  one Red Nuttie land and take a seed from my hand.. Again that was pretty cool..
:))

The Merlin seems to be a resident, it is around 2 to 3 times a day,
