Title: Black Crowned Night Heron
Post by: skyviewer on September 09, 2009, 10:06:40 PM
Well this one doesn't put on much of a show.  This particular bird along with a great blue heron has been at the storm pond in my subdivision the last few days.  The BCNH seems to be in the same pose and spot everytime i see him.  i'm starting to wonder if he's stuffed.  It's amazing before i got into birding i never would have noticed them but now when you are out looking its amazing what you see and the people around you just walk or drive on by and miss it all.
