hi everyone. i'm new to the sight and to birding, and i was hoping some of you could help me out.
i'm curious about the common species of birds observable in the greater toronto area, particularly gulls.
any help would be appreciated.
thanks!

Best advice is to observe this board and learn. Commonly available in the GTA is a list of birds at least 2-300 species with a life time list of well over 400. For Gulls the season nears, L.Ontario, Niagara R. Again observe this board for locations and even events and guided walks etc. Generally birders are a good bunch of people and finding a location following the directions from a posting you'll find a group of birders already there (more often than not). Just ask, don't be shy and they'll point out what is to see.
