Hi everyone.
This morning at 8:30am, I saw an adult Bald Eagle on the left (East) side of the 403 just before heading West on the QEW. Quite thrilling as it's not often that I get to see one of these beauties!
He/she was perched on a tree branch, looking at the field below, searching for some breakfast.

you know, that's kind of funny....
on Sunday, we were driving on the 401 past the 403 turnoff. i forget which part of the 401 we were at, but it was definitely east of Erin Mills.
there were a few birds of prey in the air.
i swore that one of them had a white head. my fiancee thought that it was too large to be a bald eagle and was probably a turkey vulture. but i swore the head was white.
couldn't take a good stare because i was driving, but is there much of a size difference between bald eagles and turkey vultures?

Thanks Jim, ravynne40 and yogistewart. :D
Last time I saw an adult Bald Eagle was back on May 3rd flying above Erindale Park heading NW towards Meadowvale.
yogistewart ... Turkey Vulture Length 27", Wingspan 70"
Bald Eagle Length 36", Wingspan 84" ... there is no mistaking the large white head! 8)

then add me to the list.
i only saw it for 1-2 seconds while driving, but it was BIG and i swore i saw a white head.
and i never would expect to see a bald eagle in the GTA.
so yeah, look for one around the 401 east of Elgin Mills (closer to Mississauga, i think)

Cool, I'm excited to read about your sighting! 8)
Years ago, saw an adult Bald Eagle perched in a tree at Jack Darling Park (Mississauga) close to the leash-free dog run area. Many years ago before that, saw an adult Bald Eagle perched in a tree in Fort Erie close to the river.
I live fairly close to Erin Mills/401 but have never lucked out with seeing a Bald Eagle up here at any of the parks in Meadowvale or Streetsville - have never seen one in nearby Brampton, Milton or Oakville either!
