Where is this?
Attila, I was just looking back over some of your other post involving Herons and Egrets. You are definitely the master at shooting these birds. All you photos are fantastic but when you photograph these guys I am just blown away!! (and extremely jealous  :D )

Hi there Meghan,

It was taken at the Reesor Rd. drainage pond located at Reesor Rd. and Hwy. 407.

And while I appreciate your kind words, I really don't think I'm a master.  Maybe some day, but definitely not now - still learning all the different modes to the simplest DSLR ever created.  :wink:

I joint this list around the time you first started taking bird photos.  You have come a long way in a short time.  Well done!

Andy, I appreciate your kind words.  As with everything in life, I find that the more time you spend practicing the more you can become accustomed to shooting in different situations and conditions.  My gear which, lets face it, is less than great, is teaching me how to become a better photographer through learning the different settings and applying them to different situations that I find myself in.

I'm only another month away from buying myself some upgraded gear, which I'm certain will help me get even more clarity when it comes to my shooting.  After all, it always does come down to the glass that we end up using, doesn't it?

Thanks again to everyone for your advice, support, and expertise in sharing techniqes and tips with not only myself but with all the members on this forum.

Attila:  Another nice shot!  I love to take photos of GBH and egrets too.
Meghan:  Maybe closer to you is High Park, lower duck pond.  I have seen both the GBH and white egret there several times.  The egret doesn't seem to mind having his picture taken :)
