migrating hawks- 881, Bald Eagle- 4, Northern Goshawk- 2, Sharp-shinned Hawk- 83, Turkey Vulture- 690,
shorebirds- Greater Yellowlegs- 1, Lesser Yellowlegs- 8, Wilson's Snipe- 1, Dunlin- 9
Waterfowl- Northern Pintail, Blue-winged Teal, Green-winged Teal, American Black Duck, and Common Loon
Songbirds- Cape May Warbler, Blue-headed Vireo, American Redstart, Swainson's Thrush,
Sparrows- White-crowned Sparrow- 5, White-throated Sparrow- 14, Song, Swamp, and Chipping,
Others- Virginia Rail- 1, Great Egret- 5, and Red-headed Woodpecker- 1
The weather forcast was wrong. It called for west winds which mean a poor hawk flight and we had
north-west winds all day which resulted in an excellent hawk flight.
